Every Millefiori Murano Glass product is made from a few to over a few dozen small Millefiori Murano Glass Beads of different colors and patterns, they are then heated up to form a mixture, all handmade by artisans. Since no machinery is involved in the glasswork, every Millefiori Murano Glass product has a unique combination of colors. Among the handmade Millefiori Murano Glass products, only about 15% to 30% gives a perfect color balance.
About the Pattern of Millefiori Murano Glass
The making of Millefiori Murano Glass starts with a few to over a few dozen small glass beads. After being arranged and assorted in a desired pattern, the glass beads placed together will be melted in an oven at a temperature of 1,500 degree Celsius, until they are in a liquid state and are bonded with each other. During the process of heating and melting, the pattern of the small glass beads are pressed upon to create a fused, blended and twisted pattern, which is the expected result of Millefiori Murano Glass production. Among the handmade Millefiori Murano Glass products, only about 15% to 30% gives a perfect pattern with rich coloring.
